Welcome to the Doctoral Leadership Conference (DLC)! We extend a warm invitation to undergraduate, graduate, and doctoral students to join us for our Annual Conference. Our premier event is a dynamic platform for college students, scholars, and professionals to showcase and engage in collaborative discussions on original research spanning various disciplines. Under the theme "Pursuing Excellence in Leadership: Collaborate, Motivate, and Educate," this year's conference highlights research endeavors to enhance excellence within academic domains and foster connections between the broader public and the doctoral communities. Additionally, we are excited to announce the undergraduate, graduate, and doctoral Research Poster Competition, designed to provide invaluable support and mentorship to emerging scholars at all levels.

The Doctoral Leadership Conference invites undergraduate, graduate, and doctoral students to submit abstracts for the poster competition. Abstract submission is FREE of charge and welcomes contributions from diverse fields, including business, education, environmental science, biology, sociology, health, economics, and more. Abstracts should be concise, 250 words maximum, and include the poster title, critical issues addressed, theoretical frameworks utilized, and preliminary research findings or conclusions.
To be considered, please submit your 250-word abstract by May 15, 2024. Abstracts will undergo peer review, and acceptance decisions will be communicated on a rolling basis. Early submissions are encouraged to facilitate timely notification to potential conference attendees.
All submissions must be submitted electronically as an email attachment in an MS Word format to conference@doctoralleadership.com.
(All writings and poster board material should follow APA 7 format)
Conference registration fees are as follows: $200 for undergraduate presenters, $250 for graduate presenters, and $300 for doctoral presenters if selected. Registration grants full access to conference sessions, breakfast, and lunch. Please note that registration fees do not cover tickets for the Leadership En Blanc Networking Social or the Honoring Excellence Black Tie Gala. Tickets for these events can be purchased as add-ons during registration at www.doctoralleadership.com.

Students, the Doctoral Leadership Conference will provide easels for displaying your work. Please ensure your posters must be 36" inches high and 48" inches wide to fit the easels appropriately. The undergraduate research poster competition will take place from 9:30 am to 10:30 am, with setup time beginning at 9:15 am. The graduate research poster competition will occur from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm, with setup time beginning at 10:45 am. Lunch will be served at 12:30 pm until 1:00 pm. After lunch, the doctoral research poster competition will take place from 1:30 pm to 2:30 pm, with setup time beginning at 1:15 pm. All undergraduate, graduate, and doctoral students participating in the DLC research poster competition must bring their posters. Please note that the DLC committee will not be responsible for storing or safeguarding posters. Your posters should include, but are not limited to, the following sections:

Attention all undergraduate, graduate, and doctoral presenters! Mark your calendars for June 20-22, 2024, as you'll have the opportunity to participate in the research poster competition. Monetary Scholarships will be awarded to undergraduate, graduate, and doctoral students for outstanding research presentations during the Honoring Excellence Black Tie Gala. The winners' names, pictures, and abstracts will be prominently featured on the Doctoral Leadership Initiative website. Again, the Scholarship recipients will be announced during the Honoring Excellence Black Tie Fundraising Gala.
Students' presentations will be assessed through both poster displays and oral presentations. Undergraduate, graduate, and doctoral students from all disciplines and on any topic are encouraged to submit abstracts. Each student will be allocated fifteen minutes to present their research to a panel of judges. There will be a panel of three judges and one alternate judge for the research poster competitions. We recommend a presentation lasting 10 minutes, leaving an additional 5 minutes for questions and answers from the judges. Please remain near your poster and be ready to present your presentation before the judges. Posters will remain on display during the Conference for viewing.
